The Ultrasonic Flaw Detector PCE-UFD 50 is used for non-destructive material testing. During testing, the device sends ultrasonic waves through the test object using a probe. The ultrasound reflects and scatters at interfaces of materials with different densities and wave impedances. By determining the ultrasound’s transit time through the object, the tester can inspect weld seams, measure wall thicknesses, and locate component defects.
The tester supports adjustable frequencies between 0.5 and 20 MHz and sound velocities between 1000 and 15000 m/s, allowing for measurements in steel up to 10000 mm. Features such as DAC and AVG evaluation methods, display and probe delay, attenuation and amplification functions, export and report generation capabilities, and other settings simplify non-destructive testing. The device includes a screen video recording feature, and its software can retrieve data and generate reports. Users can adjust settings using a rotary knob, and the 5.7-inch color display presents test results clearly.
Designed for rigorous testing, the ultrasonic tester combines a robust, ergonomic design with a lightweight build, weighing only 1.1 kg. This makes it suitable for both desktop and mobile use in industrial conditions.
