Description
Optimal Sound Level Measurement with PCE-428-EKIT
The PCE-428-EKIT outdoor sound level meter is designed for optimal measurements in diverse environments, such as workplaces, construction sites, traffic, and airports. It belongs to class 2 devices and comes equipped with an octave band frequency filter, with an optional upgrade to a 1/3 octave band filter.
Versatile Measurement Capabilities
This versatile sound level meter provides various measurement options. Alongside numerical displays, users can observe the graphical representation of sound levels. Frequency ratings include A, B, C, and Z, while time estimates cover Fast, Slow, Pulse, and Peak.
Wide Measurement Range and Profile Storage
Covering a broad range from 25 to 136 dB(A) at frequencies between 20 Hz and 12.5 kHz, the sound level meter also allows users to store three different measurement profiles. This flexibility empowers users to decide the specific parameters the device should record, such as Laeq, LcPeak, LaFmax, LaFMin, and more.
Peak Hold Function for Long-Term Measurement
The sound level meter’s peak hold function enables the recording of maximum sound pressure levels during long-term measurements, freezing the data on the display for analysis.
Advanced Features for Accuracy
Equipped with a 24-bit AD converter and specially developed electronics, the sound level meter actively reduces inherent noise to a minimal level. Sampling the measurement signal at over 48 kHz ensures high accuracy and improved stability of measured values.
Enhanced Outdoor Measurement with PCE-4xx-EKIT
The PCE-4xx-EKIT, an additional kit, seamlessly integrates with sound level meters PCE-428, 430, or PCE-432, enhancing outdoor noise measurement capabilities. The kit includes a waterproof Peli carrying case with rollers, a charger, and two additional lead gel batteries, providing up to 10 days of operation. During outdoor measurements, the closed case protects electronic components from water.
Comprehensive Protection and Versatility
The outdoor sound monitor kit offers rain and wind protection, a wire mesh for the microphone, and a waterproof charger. It accommodates various outdoor sound measurement scenarios, including road noise, aircraft and train noise, and event noise. Regardless of weather conditions such as hail, snow, and rain, the kit ensures reliable performance.
GPS-Enabled Precision with PCE-432 Integration
When combined with the PCE-432 sound level meter, the kit even allows for GPS receiver-assigned tracking of the exact location of sound level measurements in outdoor areas.
