INDUSTRIAL BORESCOPE PCE-VE 1500-38209

With this industrial borescope, weld seams, wear and tear and damage can be assessed quickly and easily in order to make quick diagnoses. The sheathing of the endoscope cable from the industrial borescope consists of braided tungsten.

– Endoscope cable length: approx. 2 m / 6.5 ft
– Diameter: 3.8mm / 0.15″
– Camera resolution 160,000 pixels each
– Viewing angle front camera 120°, side camera 90°
– Focusing distance 5 … 50 mm / 0.19 … 1.96″ each
– Camera head length: 42 mm / 1.6″
– Bending radius at 90° 35 mm / 1.3″
– Live images from both cameras side by side

The industrial borescope offers the user the flexibility to select the current image display from either the front camera, the side camera, or both simultaneously on the expansive touchscreen interface. This dual-camera display greatly facilitates orientation during visual inspections. Furthermore, the ability to utilize both the front and side cameras proves beneficial, particularly in confined spaces.

It is important to note that capturing pictures and videos simultaneously with both cameras is not supported. When recording in the dual-camera viewing mode, only the images from the active camera are saved by the endoscope. Additionally, if image captions are enabled, they will only be displayed on the image from the active camera. The boroscope includes a “Watermark” menu option that allows for overlays such as date, time, or camera designation (CAM1 or CAM2) to be displayed on the image in a small red font. Switching between cameras is effortless with this endoscope, as a simple double-tap on the desired camera image in the dual-camera view instantly activates it.

The flexible endoscope cable, measuring a mere 3.8 mm in diameter, extends approximately 1.87 meters from the front edge of the camera head to the rubber-coated connection area. This design enables detailed examination of internal surfaces and components accessible through narrow openings. The camera head, which can be maneuvered in all directions using a joystick, features a 42-millimeter length and a bending radius of 35 mm when bent at a 90-degree angle.

Noteworthy features of the PCE-VE 1500 series include a consistent core device with comprehensive functions and practical accessories. The models within this series vary primarily in camera types, cable lengths, and diameters. The endoscopes in this series are user-friendly, equipped with function keys, a touchscreen, and a joystick on the core device for convenient operation.

Weighing just over two kilograms with the battery and camera unit, the industrial borescope is designed for easy single-handed transport. For prolonged usage, it can be equipped with a shoulder strap, magnetic holder, or tripod attached to the designated mounting points. The joystick and function keys on the handle allow for seamless operation with one hand, facilitating actions such as capturing images and adjusting the camera’s light intensity. The camera cable can be guided using the other hand.

A standout feature of these industrial borescopes is the motorized movement of the camera head, achieved through a unified camera, camera cable, and motor unit. This integrated camera unit can be effortlessly replaced when needed. The cable is reinforced with a tungsten braid for durability, while the camera head tip is crafted from a titanium alloy to enhance longevity.

The camera head of the industrial borescope can be precisely positioned using the joystick to capture specific examination areas. With a bending capability of over 180 degrees in various directions, the movable camera head offers flexibility. The joystick, conveniently positioned between the handle and the display, ensures easy operation with a single finger.

The touchscreen functionality of the endoscope allows for the display of current and saved images individually on the seven-inch screen. The picture-in-picture feature enables a real-time image to be compared with a saved one. The touchscreen interface grants quick access to menu functions, enhancing user experience. An array of features, including annotating images and marking details, is made easily accessible through the touchscreen.

Images, both current and saved, can be digitally magnified on the display by double-tapping or using a two-finger gesture. The enlarged section can be maneuvered on the touchscreen for detailed inspection. Notably, vital details on saved images can be highlighted with color, arrows, or labels directly on the touchscreen. These annotated images can be saved with existing names or as additional files.

The industrial borescope offers intuitive operation through touchscreen icons, providing access to various functions. For instance, the picture-in-picture function allows users to compare the live image with a “frozen” snapshot or a previously saved image. By default, the live image appears in a smaller section at the top right of the screen, and double-tapping it expands the view, swapping positions with the older image.

The industrial borescope is equipped with multiple data transmission interfaces, including USB-A, USB-C, HDMI, audio, WiFi, and a memory card slot compatible with SD cards up to 128 GB. These interfaces are conveniently located on the left side of the touchscreen, accessible under a cover.
